From Software - the Japanese developers behind Dark Souls, Armored Core and many a more franchises that you have most certainly heard of - would appear to have been developing a new game entitled Project Beast, which isrumored to be a PlayStation 4 exclusive and published by Sony.
How do we know this? Well several short video clips have been leaked, cropping up on 4chan, which show several scenes from the game as well as the From Software logo.
The footage show us a lone warrior, an almost hunter-like character wielding a gun and walking through a fantasy world, fighting against various undead humanoids. Most excitingly, the final scene depicts our warrior approaching a large tentacle-like creature inside of a large room or chamber. The general ambience and game design showed seems to be very similar to the iconic ‘Souls’ franchise style. Many are speculating that this could be a sequel to Demon’s Souls, the hugely popular RPG game originally released in 2009.
We have yet to hear back from either From Software or SCEJ concerning the leak, however it’s almost certain that with E3 only a week or so away, some form of announcement will be made concerning Project Beast, and we’ll be on hand to spill all the beans.
