Electronic Arts has announced via their website that Battlefield: Hardline will be released sometime this Fall.
The titled was first leaked after a logo and press release was found on an EA press assets site. You can check out the original article which was cached on Google here.
Additionally, EA revealed that Hardline will be a spin-off of the franchise, and it will be developed by Visceral Games, the development studio behind the Dead Space series. Executive producer at developer Visceral Games Steve Papoutsis explained further, writing, “The game launches this fall and it’s a brand new series in the Battlefield franchise, set against the backdrop of a genre we all love – the war on crime and the battle between cops and criminals.”
Battlefield: Hardline will officially be revealed at E3 during EA’s press conference. The game will be released on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC later this Fall.
