Space Hulk: Deathwing - first shots

Focus Home Interactive has released the first screenshots of Space Hulk: Deathwing, a FPS set in the Warhammer 40K universe.

In development by Streum On Studio - who previously developed E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy, the game sees players taking the role of one of the God-Emperor’s most feared subjects - a Space Marine. You’ll mow down Genestealers in the corridors of a derelict spaceship, with each kill netting you XP that can be used to upgrade your weapons and abilities among 4 different skill trees.

The game is being built using Unreal Engine 4, and from these early shots it looks as though Streum On are making the most of it. Character models look impressively detailed, while some moody lighting effects evoke an oppressive atmosphere. No platforms or release date have been confirmed as of yet, though given the developer’s previous work a PC release seems likely.

Check out the screens below.
