According to IGN, Far Cry 4 is being directed by Alex Hutchinson, who previously directed Assassin’s Creed 3. The rumor comes from numerous sources close to the game’s production.
The news might concern some gamers, who found that Assassin’s Creed 3 was a rather ponderous affair which took far too long before it got going. While it was still a good game in its own right, many decried what was perceived to be slow pacing and excessive hand-holding.
Just earlier this week, Ubisoft revealed that Far Cry 4 will be released on November 18 in North America and November 20 in Europe for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. It will be set in the Kyrat, a fictional region in the Himalayas, and will include a variety of climates consisting of snowy and sunny regions.
Ubisoft has yet to comment on the rumor, but we’re hoping to hear more in the coming weeks - especially with E3 right around the corner.
