Remember what Master Chief used to look like in the original Halo: Combat Evolved? How about in Halo 2 or Halo 3? Look above and you’ll remember how the Chief has changed throughout the past decade and a half.
Take another look, and now imagine Microsoft collecting these three classics, as well as 2012’s Halo 4, in a super Master Chief-focused HD remaster that collects the aforementioned titles into one package called Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
While this has not yet been confirmed by Microsoft, Engadget is reporting that the world’s second most-famous super solider (besides Captain America) will be gracing Xbox Ones in this HD remake. While the game’s developer is currently unknown, it is speculated that Saber Interactive, the developed who produced Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary will likely helm the project.
Curiously, Halo 3: ODST and Halo: Reach don’t seem to be a part of the package, although this makes sense given that neither of those games feature the Master Chief. Still, the idea of a major Halo re-release makes sense given the recent announcement of Halo 5: Guardians .
