Murdered: Soul Suspect - Trailer emerges

Today Square Enix showed off a new trailer for their upcoming supernatural murder mystery game, Murdered: Soul Suspect. Players will take the role of Ronan O’ Conner, a detective trying to solve a murder mystery. There’s just one catch - it’s his own murder that he’s investigating. Ronan, being a ghost and all, can’t interact with those around him in Salem, but his aid, a psychic named Joy, can. We showed some of the game’s premise in action in an earlier trailer.

This trailer depicts the moments leading up to Ronan’s death in Sherlock Holmes-esque detective vision. The detective recounts his surprise at being defeated by his killer, stating that although he’s seeing many deaths this was “different”. It turns out that there was one witness to his death (probably the aforementioned Joy) who doesn’t seem at all enthused with helping Ronan out. But it seems she’s the only one who can see Ronan, making her perhaps the only place he can turn for help. Joy offers some exposition, telling Ronan that her mother (a psychic who helped out in investigations) disappeared a few days ago. Finding her mother may well be Joy’s driving motivation in teaming up with Ronan.

Murdered: Soul Suspect is due to be released on June 3 in North America, and June 6 in Europe for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
