Sony Amends DriveClub Upgrade Policy

driveclub

Sony had double backed on its DriveClub PlayStation Plus Edition upgrade policy following a huge outcry from fans. Sony’s original plan involved players paying an additional upgrade fee for the Plus Edition and involved restricting access to the game once the Plus subscription expired. Sony has listened to its fans and replied saying that their original plan was “not appropriate.”

Sony released the following statement: “Our priority for DriveClub is to enable you to play and enjoy everything it has to offer and PlayStation recognizes that the prior plan for DriveClub entitlement for the upgrade to the PS Plus edition was not appropriate.”

Now you’ll be able to keep your upgraded Plus Edition forever. It’s an awesome feeling when you see huge brands like Sony listening to their customers and adapting to their needs. Ultimately it’s this type of communication that benefits both Sony and the player.
