You may have heard of the upcoming 4v4 PvP game Magicka: Wizard Wars. Developed by Paradox Interactive, the latest game in the absurdly popular Magicka franchise is currently on Steam Early Access - and proudly flaunting how it has already started ruining friendships.

While that might seem like a strange marketing angle, it actually refers to one of Magika‘s core mechanics: friendly fire is not only on by default, itā€™s an inalienable part of the its design. In fact, the developer is billing it as “the online competitive multiplayer game of misdirected magic”.

If that sounds appealing to you then the good news is that the game is going into open beta on May 27. Prospective players can get early access to the game today through the developerā€™s sign-up site.
