Developer Longbow Games has announced that the final version of Hegemony Rome: The Rise of Caesar will be available for digital download on May 15. The game has so far been available through Steam’s Early Access program.
Hegemony Rome will also be available in a boxed retail version on May 30. Longbow expressed that they have been “working hard to implement new features and campaign chapters to the game, as well as making sure the voice of the community was heard.”
Hegemony Rome takes players through the plains and forests of Gaul, where Julius Caesar waged a decade-long war against the barbarian horde. Longbow aims to immerse players in the period with the gradual change of seasons and rapidly changing military climate of the day. The gamealso supports a fully explorable million-square kilometer map.
It also features a construction system, players will be able to build their empire across the huge map with the construction of forts, bridges, walls, and cities. With the expansion of the Empire, your Legion will also need to be expanded - with fully customizable officer units, appointed governors, and city improvements.
