Oops.
It looks like Bethesda may have made a mistake and prematurely announced that the console version of The Elder Scrolls Online is to be delayed for another six months. If the announcement turns out to be accurate, it mean that the game won’t be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One until December.
An image posted on Reddit shows an announcement made on the game’s official website FAQ overnight discussing the news, which you can see below. The post has since been edited to remove information about the delay.
“The Elder Scrolls Online officially launched on April 4, 2024 on PC and Mac. While it has become clear that our planned June release of the console versions isn’t going to be possible, we have made great progress, we have concluded that we’ll need about six more months to ensure we deliver the experience our fans expect and deserve,” the post read - before it was swiftly removed.
We’ve contacted Bethesda to see if there’s any official statement on the matter and will keep you updated.
