The PlayStation 2 classic Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne from developer Atlus is now available for purchase on PlayStation Network for the PlayStation 3. The critically acclaimed RPG features over 100 unique demons to recruit as allies in classic RPG battles. It was originally release in the west in 2004 as the director’s cut Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne Maniax.

In Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne you control a nameable hero as he becomes a human/demon hybrid while the world undergoes the “Conception” – a cataclysmic event heralding a new world. Through your in-game actions you can change the course of the game and witness several endings as you battle your way through hordes of demons.

In recent years Atlus has had several titles re-released on PSN as Sony expands its PlayStation classics library, and it is good to see more JRPGs making it on to PSN with each passing month. Here is a look at the original trailer for the 2004 release of Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne.
