The system requirements for Wolfenstein: The New Order have been released, and they’re pretty demanding.
The system requirements “running at 60 fps… [which] deliver the PC game as it was intended to be experienced” are listed below; the game will run at lower specs if you don’t have the greatest rig in the world - think of these more as your recommended requirements.
64-bit Windows 7/Windows 8
Intel Core i7 or equivalent AMD
4GB System RAM
50GB free HDD space
GeForce 460, ATI Radeon HD 6850
High Speed Internet Connection
Steam account and activation required
For those of you who are more concerned about the console specs, you will still need 47GB of free space on your PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. The New Order will also run on last-gen consoles, but at much lower specs. The game may require an i7 chip to run on a PC, but considering that this game runs on both the antequated technologies of the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, it will be interesting to see why exactly this i7 chip is required; we wouldn’t be surprised to see the game run on a PC which is less powerful than an i7.
The full system requirements can be found here. If you feel like your gaming PC isn’t up to scratch, you have until May 20th to upgrade, when the game is finally released.
