Watch Dogs is set to be released soon on all platforms. While a Wii U version of the game has been confirmed, details have been noticeably scarce, leading some to question UIbisoft’s commitment to Nintendo’s console.
Even though there is concern over the Wii U version, Ubisoft has given assurances that they will focus on making it ‘”he best version it can be.”
Speaking with Red Bull, creative director Jonathan Morin has said that “Right now [the Wii U version is] currently being done, but I’m not directly involved… We wanted to finish all the platforms that we are currently shipping. The good news now is that they’re all fully focused on the Wii U version, making sure it gets the attention it deserves to make it the best version it can be.”
Watch Dogs on the Wii U was delayed in early February. No reason was given, but Ubisoft promised it would still come to the console. Last month the release date was leaked by the Uplay Store, citing a “Fall 2014″ release.
Ubisoft has yet to confirm the release date for the Wii U, but we can assume it will be ready by the end of the year.
You can still pick up Watch Dogs on May 27 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. We’ll update you when more is revealed on the Wii U version.
