Activision has announced this year’s Call of Duty game, and it might surprise you.
Developed by Sledgehammer Games, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare leaves behind the modern-day/ near-future setting of recent years and takes the series into full-blown science fiction territory. The reveal trailer, which you can view below, features hover bikes, spider tanks, power armor and soldiers climbing up walls, Spider-Man style.
Oh, and it has Kevin Spacey in it, firmly taking up residence inside the uncanny valley.
The game is pegged for a November 4 release date. The full list of platforms hasn’t been confirmed, though the trailer does announce that footage was taken from Xbox One. It’s a safe bet that it will also release on PlayStation 4 and PC, though whether or not the game will also come out for Xbox 360 and PS3 isn’t known.
