Promising looking action-adventure game The Last Tinker: City of Colors will be released for Windows PC, Linux and Mac on May 12th, the developer has announced today.

Developed by indie outfit Mimimi Productions, The Last Tinker draws its inspiration from classic adventure platform games like The Legend of Zelda and Jak and Daxter, and promises around 8 hours of gameplay as you bound around its world attempting to restore peace to the land.

We previewed the game recently and came away from it rather impressed, saying: “With production values outstripping many big-name releases and visuals rich in color… it’s hard to believe that the game is being created by just a small indie team whose work so far has been restricted to a handful of mobile games. There’s a huge amount of imagination on show in what we’ve experienced, and everything suggests that it will be an accomplished and enjoyable title.”

Whether the game lives up to its early promise is something we’ll be finding out very soon.
