Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Patched

Good news for fans of Square Enix’s MMORPG - the developer today released version 2.25, featuring a smattering of new content. Most notably, the rank cap for PVP in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn gets a bump up from 30 to 40, so players can continue to battle their friends as their characters level up. It’s a fairly big development for the game’s PVP structure, which was only released back in December.

Also included in the update are some new pieces of gear for PvP action.

Raising the rank cap is cool, but the last major update for A Realm Reborn brought players the option to do battle with leviathans. And some new hairstyles. It all looks pretty great in the trailer below. So far, the reinvention of Square Enix’s Final Fantasy MMORPG seems to be taking off pretty well, given the original version’s shortcomings.

Check out the trailer below and we’ll be sure to keep you updated as new content is released.
