Risen 3: New Teaser Trailer

Deep Silver has released a teaser trailer for their upcoming RPG, Risen 3, currently in development for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 by Piranha Bytes.

At around only 20 seconds in length, it doesn’t show much, but it does show a significantly darker tone from the previous game, which set sail with a dominant Pirate theme throughout. Whether or not the finished game continues that tone throughout or not isn’t yet known, but if it does then we could be in for a cracking dark-fantasy adventure.

Billed as a return to the developer’s roots, Risen 3 provides a vast, open world to explore with the freedom to choose your own path and allegiances. It sees players seeking out the help of powerful wizards in a world abandoned by the Gods, in an effort to prevent the encroaching darkness that is sweeping over the world. Risen 3 is currently slated for a release sometime this August. We’re rather looking forward to it.
