Tropico 5, the latest installment of the tropical themed “dictator sim”, has been set for global (digital) release for May 23 for the PC; a full 4 days before its US retail release date on May 27.
We also have confirmation that Tropico 5 is primed for release on Mac and Xbox 360 for this Summer, with the PlayStation 4 version targeted for this Fall.
In addition, publisher Kalypso Media has confirmed that a Linux-based version of the game for Steam OS is in the works and expected to launch alongside “the respective new hardware”. Various versions of the Steam Machine are currently in the beta testing phase with no solid release date. But Dell has expressed they are aiming to get their variant of the Steam Machine out for September.
