After successfully evading a three-peat as America’s worst company, Electronic Arts introduces their On the House promotion, beginning with Visceral Games’ Dead Space.
Available for free on EA Origin, the program offers the full version at no cost as a limited time offer. Based on details on Origin’s website, On The House seems to be a continual promotion, though no information on frequency is mentioned.
“We’re gamers, too.” The program argues. “We appreciate you making Origin your gaming home…besides, who doesn’t like free stuff?”
Developed by EA Redwood Shores (now Visceral Games), Dead Space is the first installment in the now-dead franchise. The game is a survival horror where the player takes the role of Isaac Clarke, an engineer who encounters an undead enemy known as the Necromorphs on the abandoned mining ship USG Ishimura.
Regardless of whether you’re a fan of survival horror, Dead Space is a one of the previous generation’s most famous intellectual properties. As a free game, it is heartily recommended and a great springboard for anyone interested in the Dead Space universe.
