Kalypso Media has today revealed a new trailer for the 5th installment in its popular strategy series, Tropico, currently in development by Haemimont Games.
The trailer doesn’t really reveal much - it’s a cinematic teaser, so there’s no gameplay on show - but it does provide a glimpse at the tone and setting of this latest game. Tropico 5 starts off in colonial times and tasks players with securing their legacy - naming their successors and ensuring that their Empire remains stable across generations. Other new features include the need to explore your island, rather than it being revealed in its entirety from the outset, and an overhauled trading system.
Tropico 5 is due to be released sometime in the early half of this year on PC, Mac, and Xbox 360. You can have a look at the latest trailer below.
