Sega’s of America’s Associate Brand Manager, Aaron Webber, announced today on the Official Playstation blog that the sequel to the niche rhythm game Hatsune Miku, Project Diva F, entitled Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F 2nd, will be making its way to North America and Europe in ‘the Fall’ on both the PlayStation 3 and the PS Vita.
Also of note, unlike the the prequel, Project Diva F 2nd will be released as a physical, retail boxed game for both the Playstation 3 and PS Vita.
The game boasts 40 songs and, just as with the prequel, there will be 4 difficulty levels and an Edit mode that allows the player to create their own songs to play and share.
The Japanese title will feature ‘vocaloid’ Hatsune Miku. Vocaloids are animated characters created to personify synthesized voice modules that are used in certain amateur music creation software suites. Hatsune Miku will appear alongside other vocaloids within the game.
We reviewed the original Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F for the Vita and gave it a 7/10. We loved its wacky and diverse scenarios but weren’t quite so sold on the lack of cross-save and its blurry graphics.
