Arkham Origins: New single-player DLC announced

Warner Bros. Interactive has announced a new single-player DLC expansion for last year’s so-so Batman: Arkham Origins.

Titled Cold, Cold Heart, the DLC pits the Dark Knight against the machinations of Doctor Freeze, who was last seen during the events of Arkham City back in 2012.

According to the press release, players will explore the origins of the infamous villain across “iconic locations” in Gotham City and promises to be several hours long.

It will have to be pretty good if it’s to thaw the rather frosty relationship that Warner Bros currently has with series fans, following the announcement that there will almost certainly be no further fixes to Arkham City, which was plagued by a number of game-breaking bugs upon its release.

We (well, me) reviewed Arkham Origins upon its release last year and found it to be a faithful continuation of the foundations laid down by Rocksteady’s previous installments, but lacking ideas of its own and with more than a few bugs which soured the experience.

Cold, Cold Heart is set to be released on April 22nd for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
