Nintendo has just announced the first 3D Pokemon game for the 3DS.
Following a Pokemon Direct livestream, Nintendo President Satoru Iwata has announced the next twinned entries in the Series, Pokemon X/Y.
The livestream also gave us our first glimpse into the new and improved graphics, which now feature a fully-realized 3D world and all-new Pokemon attack animations.
Also shown are the three starter Pokemon: Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie.
Pokemon X and Y are scheduled for release this coming October. Check out the announcement trailer above.
