Thief Launch Trailer Released.

It’s finally here - this Friday, 28th March, sees the release of the long-awaited latest entry in the Thief franchise.

Pre-release reviews have so far been mixed and the game has had a troubled development, with rumors of internal strife between the the game’s developer Eidos Montreal and publisher Square Enix. In addition, many fans had previously voiced their concern over a number of changes to the series, most notably the appearance of series protagonist Garret.

Other changes originally included quick-time events and, notoriously, an XP system which rewarded players for killing enemies with the chance to upgrade their abilities. The latter mechanic has since been removed.
