WB Montreal: “No plans” for future bug fixes in Arkham Origins.

Boss fights remain as tedious as ever, unfortunately.

If you’re still hoping that Warner Bros Montreal will fix some of the technical problems in last year’s Batman: Arkham Origins, then you’re out of luck.

In a post on the game’s official forum, the game’s community manager - known to fans as Mercury - stated that there will be no further bug fixes for the game as the developer is focusing on story-driven DLC.

“The team is currently working hard on the upcoming story DLC and there currently are no plans for releasing another patch to address the issues that have been reported on the forums,” Mercury says in the post.

“If we do move forward with creating a new patch, it will try to address the progression blocking bugs for players, not the minor glitches that do not prevent one from continuing to play. The issues that are not progression blockers will unfortunately no longer be addressed.”

He finishes the post by saying: “We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused for some of you, and want to thank you for having been patient.

Reaction by the community so far has been pretty hostile, to say the least.

“ha ha heh.patience is no longer an issue, its trust which youve just lost”, responded user kopo9393.

NatetheGreat170 said: “Everyone held on to hope that wasn’t there. WBM never gave a sh*t”

Other responses have ranged from being annoyed to outbursts that can’t be reprinted here.

Arkham Origins came out last October on PC and last-gen consoles to mediocre reviews. Developed by new studio Warner Bros Montreal - previous entries were developed by Rocksteady - it soon found itself at the center of controversy due to a number of game-breaking bugs and technical issues. Continue Play scored it 6/10, saying “Origins is a game that frequently feels like a by-the-numbers rehash with little in the way of new ideas and a clutch of technical problems that can be genuinely game-breaking.”

We promised to update the score in future if the problems were fixed. Based on this latest development, that’s now looking unlikely.
