Ubisoft has released a 9-minute video walkthrough of Watch Dogs’ multiplayer gameplay.

The trailer, which you can watch below, showcases how players can hack into other people’s games. The twist is that when you invade another players’ game, you appear to them as just another bystander, allowing you to hack into their phone undetected as your victim desperately attempts to pin down your location. Successful hacks grant players points, which can be used to upgrade your abilities.

Also shown off is the cross-platform functionality, which allows players on mobile devices to challenge people playing the game at home, via a downloadable app. Mobile players can raise traffic barriers and set traps, while the other player attempts to escape in a vehicle.

Lastly, a more traditional mode called Decrypt Combat sees two teams of players facing off in an attempt to recover data in a series of different maps.

Watch Dogs is being released on May 27th for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Windows PC, with a Wii U port confirmed but not yet dated.

Take a look at the trailer below.
