TwoDots Releases for Mobile Devices

Just six months ago, half of the development team that was hired on by Playdots, Inc was given a new but equally important task; make a new game that not only isn’t Dots, but is much more than a derivative sequel.

The development team delivered with TwoDots, which differs from its predecessor in many ways.

Unlike the original, TwoDots takes you on an adventure with two French protagonists, Amelia and Jacques. It’s up to you to help them navigate through 85 unique levels.

The first version of Dots had just one level that you’d play over and over again in order to beat your high score, albeit with a variety of different game mods. Ultimately though, the end goal was to connect as many dots within a minute and try to beat your high score.

However, TwoDots takes this in a completely different direction, and allows players to navigate a set amount of levels in a set amount of moves, not unlike a more refined and less cash-grabby version of Candy Crush Saga.

TwoDots follows up on the success of Dots, which has been downloaded over 20 million times in the last year, and became the first Western title to launch in China exclusively on the Alibaba Group mobile gaming platform

TwoDots is now available in the Apple App Store as a free download, and will release on Android later this year. You can check out the game’s launch trailer below.
