Patrick Söderlund, EVP of EA Studios, took to EA’s The Beat today to congratulate the Repsawn Entertainment team on the March 11th Xbox One and PC launch of Titanfall, the latest FPS effort from publisher EA.
While touting the creation of TitanWall, a repository for fan content and videos regarding Titanfall, Söderlund also revealed that the Xbox 360 version of Titanfall is coming - and it’s releasing sooner than you think. Xbox 360 users who are eagerly awaiting some Titanfall action need only wait until April 8th in North America and April 11th in Europe.
Söderlund claims that EA is giving Bluepoint Games, the game development company responsible for optimizing the Titanfall experience for Xbox 360 users, extra time to finish development, and assured users that the game “will feature the same 6v6 gameplay, maps, modes, weapons and Burn Cards as the Xbox One and PC versions of the game.”
We had quite a favorable view of Titanfall here at Continue Play. Editor-in-Chief Dale Morgan gave it a review score of 8/10, and writer Ryan Chodora had a compelling experience at a midnight launch event for the title. I also took a look at the Titanfall beta, providing a narrative account of my experiences playing as a Militia pilot.
So that’s settled then. Xbox 360 users need not await Titanfall much longer, as it officially drops in just a few short weeks.
