Publisher Focus Home Interactive has released an “in-game” trailer showing footage of Space Hulk: Deathwing.
Developed by E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy makers Streum On, Deathwing is a FPS set in Game Workshop’s Warhammer 40,000 universe. What that means is lots of Space Marines, lots of aliens being slaughtered aboard derelict spacecraft, and lots of bloody big guns. While the footage looks merely to be an in-engine render rather than actual gameplay, it nonetheless looks impressive, showing off some of the advanced lighting and smoke effects available in Epic’s Unreal Engine 4. Bullet casings are individually rendered, blood and alien saliva flies through the air convincingly, and Space Marines have never looked this good.
Space Hulk: Deathwing is due for release on PC and console, though no date has been set. Check out the trailer below.
