Artsy adventure game The Unfinished Swan will be released on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita next week - October 28, to be precise.
Originally released on the PlayStation 3 in 2012, The Unfinished Swan follows the story of a boy called Monroe, who is in pursuit of a swan after it escapes from a painting. The game adopts a monochromatic art style, which has received critical acclaim and earned developer Giant Sparrow Studios two BAFTAs: one for Game Innovation, and another for Best Debut Game. Although praise comes from all around for its art style, some criticized its length and the style of its gameplay.
The Unfinished Swan will be released as a Cross-Buy title, meaning that anyone who has previously purchased the game on PlayStation 3 will also be able to download it on their PlayStation 4 or Vita at no extra charge. For everyone else, it’ll set them back $14.99/ £9.99. Although the game is virtually identical across all versions, the PlayStation 4 version will allow for it to be played in 1080p for the first time.
