Indie developer Croteam and publisher Developer Digital have announced Road to Gehenna - a soon-to-be expansion for the raved about puzzler The Talos Principle.

Road to Gehenna will include four new episodes, new characters, and new puzzlers. These will be of the most cutting-edge and difficult players have seen yet, according to publisher Devolver Digital.

On the story side of things, this expansion offers a revisiting of Elohim as a character but with an alter-ego view of the main gameā€™s protagonist. Players will get a completely different side of Elohimā€™s world via a journey to Gehenna: a society with its own vast and interesting culture, history, and philosophy - along with a few new companions to meet on your travels.

Croteam says that the story in Road To Gehenna is an entirely new narrative that expands on the original characterā€™s voyage, rather than simply being a retread or just adding new levels to the existing game.

No firm release date has been announced, but players can get their hands on The Talos Principle: Road to Gehenna this spring on Steam. The expansion will be released later this year on PlayStation 4.
