In today’s Nintendo Direct presentation, the publisher has confirmed that Majora’s Mask 3D will arrive in Europe and North America on February 13th, and Japan and Australia the next day.

This date coincides with the launch of the New 3DS and the New 3DS XL models, and Nintendo also announced a special edition Majora’s Mask-themed New 3DS XL, with a copy of the game pre-installed for European buyers (also set for a February 13th release). In North America, the console won’t come with the game preinstalled.

The special edition of Majora’s Mask 3D includes a Steelbook case, poster and pin badge, or by pre-ordering at GAME you can get your hands on a Majora’s Mask paperweight… we’re not sure why though. That special edition has so far only been confirmed for Europe.

North America, meanwhile, gets its own Special Edition of the game, which comes with a Skull Kid figurine. It’s available through selected retailers only and has a suggested retail price of $50.

Nintendo has announced that Majora’s Mask 3D will see several adjustments made to it from the N64 version, all with a focus on making it a more accessible experience for gamers. Fishing has also been added to the game. There will also be specific features unlocked when played on the New 3DS, but we don’t yet know what those are.
