Ubisoft has surprisingly confirmed that an Xbox 360 version of their upcoming racing game The Crew is currently in development and is set to be released along side the current-gen and PC versions on November 11th.
External developer Asobo Studio is leading the development for the 360 version of the game, with support from the teams at Ivory Tower, Ubisoft Reflections, and Ubisoft Shanghai. Geoffroy Sardin, the senior vice president of sales and marketing at Ubisoft said of the move, “It’s Ubisoft’s objective to continue to meet the needs of consumers who have not yet made the move to the new console generation. The Crew was originally built for the new generation of consoles, but we have always had a desire to make it accessible to as many people as possible. We’re excited to bring The Crew’s same core features, massive scope, mission variety, and overall driving experience to Xbox 360 players.”
An announcement was also made that the closed beta for PC version of the game that took place in July will resume again on August 25th. A limited number of players will be invited to participate in the closed beta for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, which will start sometime in late September. Exact details about this will be communicated at a later time.
The Crew is set for release on November 11th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
