If you’ve been waiting patiently for Divinity: Original Sin, we have some bad news: it’s been delayed.
Thankfully though, the delay doesn’t seem to be too severe, with publisher Daedalic Entertainment now citing a release period of “Spring 2014″, which would place a release within the next couple of months. If you’re really desperate, you can play it now via Steam’s Early Access initiative.
In addition, they’ve released a new teaser trailer showing off some of the upcoming features for the game.
The latest in the long-running Divinity series, Original Sin takes a step back from the previous game, which was a largely open-world affair and returns to its more traditional roots: it’s a party-based, isometric RPG with turn-based combat, similar to classic games like Baldur’s Gate 2 or Fallout.
