Media Molecule has confirmed that the PlayStation 4 release of Tearaway Unfolded is scheduled for release September 9th, 2015.
In Tearaway you play as messenger Atoi or Iota, on the simple quest to deliver message to you the player. As you travel you soon discover other uniquely paper crafted towns, par-take in additional side missions and customize your little messenger with paper cut outs and item unlocks. In Tearaway Unfolded, the game is said the include an extended storyline, enhanced features, 1080p resolution and 60 fps.
In addition to the release, Media Molecule has confirmed that a special retail edition is to be expected at release as well, which is said to include an Atoi plushie and additional dlc content. Nic Bunce reviewed the Vita version of Tearaway upon release, giving the game an above-average 6/10. “I expected great things from Tearaway. Unfortunately, my expectations were far too high; there are just too many areas where it falls down.,” he wrote in his review. “The end result is that while it’s certainly fun and full of ideas, Tearaway ultimately ends up feeling paper-thin.”
Here’s hoping that the PS4 version is an improvement then.
