Child of Light, the upcoming platformer/RPG from Ubisoft, has received significant praise for its captivating visual tone that really captures the magical world where the game takes place. While the visuals have garnered much attention from critics, one aspect of the game that has been overlooked is the music, and the team at Ubisoft is hoping to rectify that, as the soundtrack is really a big part of the whole immersion factor in Child of Light

The soundtrack was composed by musician Cœur de Pirate and mastered by audio designer Huge Bastien. In the below video, the duo discuss the process that led to their collaboration on the soundtrack, giving it both a magical and playful feel with added darker and heavier moments, such as during boss battles. de Pirate was given an orchestra to bring out the thrill and excitement in Child of Light, and the two discuss that process in the below video.

Child of Light will be released for the PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Wii U, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on April 30th.
