The much-anticipated Star Wars Battlefront sequel has finally received a full length trailer at the Star Wars Celebration Event in Anaheim, California this week, and it reveals the release date for the game: November 17th in North America, followed by a release in Europe a few days later on the 20th.
A collaboration between DICE and Lucasfilm, the latest Battlefront game is the first in ten years, and the third main entry in the Battlefront series. Utilizing the Frostbite engine, EA’s new favorite toy, the first Star Wars game of the current generation of consoles will see players living out their wildest fantasies as you fire blasters, ride X-Wings, command AT-ATs and even pilot the Millennium Falcon itself.
These battles will take place across infamous lands within the Star War universe, including Endor, Hoth, Tatooine and even Sullust, a previously unexplored planet. You’ll also be able to put yourself in the footsteps of some of Star Wars’ most memorable characters from the original trilogy, including Darth Vader himself, and lovable bounty hunter Boba Fett.
Star Wars Battlefront will also feature a large variety of modes for players, tailored for each different type of player. Forty-person competitive multiplayer is a possibility, as well as crafted missions available to play solo, with a friend in split-screen multiplayer, or via online co-op.
Fans who pre-order Battlefront will also gain early access to the Battle of Jakku, a planet to be introduced in Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens. Taking place in the aftermath of the Rebel victory at the Battle of Endor, players will get to experience the world of Jakku for the first time in video game form, two weeks before the release of the seventh movie installment on December 1st. Of course, this offer is for fans who pre-order only, and all other players will receive access on December 8th.

Star Wars Battlefront will be released on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 17th in North America, November 19th in Europe, and November 20th in the UK. Can’t wait until then?
