Splatoon Gets Its First Blob Of New Content

Nintendo’s just released Splatoon has received new content - including new map, Port Mackerel, and new game modes.

You’ll already be able to gain access to the new Port Mackerel map as well as the new Splat Zones game mode, which looks similar to king of the hill. Ranked matches are now available too, but only recommended for more experienced splatters.

If all that wasn’t enough, a new gun has also been added - called the N-Zap ’85 rapid-fire Shooter. Experienced Nintendo-ers might notice some similarities between it and the NES Zapper light gun from quite some time ago.

Today is only the first of many new content drops for Splatoon, so keep your eyes peeled and your splat guns ready.
