DrinkBox Studios, creators of the excellent metroidvania game Guacamelee! has revealed the first information about what they’re working on as their next project.
Severed is a first-person adventure game which takes place in a surreal fantasy world. The game features gesture-based combat and a non-linear world, and you’ll be able to upgrade your abilities and combat techniques as you progress.
The artstyle is certainly attractive, and will be instantly recognizable to anyone who played the developer’s previous game. It’s still a while off yet - Severed is set to be released in Spring of next year. There’s no word yet on what platforms the game is being released for, but based on the studio’s previous output, it should definitely be one to keep an eye on. We’ll keep you posted as more details are announced.
