Focusing on Batman’s colorful cast of villains, Rocksteady has released three new screenshots for the highly anticipated Batman: Arkham Knight through Game Informer. The screenshots give us our first next-gen look at the title, and feature the Penguin, Two-Face and The Riddler.

According to art director David Hego, Arkham Knight tweaks the designs of each member of Batman’s rogue’s gallery to keep the Bat-universe fresh and exciting.

“How can we make these guys exciting, even after seeing them again?” said art director David Hego. “Every time, we make them look better and better and better, but at the same time, how can we improve the story behind them?”

Playing into this visual storytelling, Penguin now sports a shaved head and a more brutish look, while Two Face’s rolled-up sleeves show off more of the character’s burnt flesh.

However, the most heavily altered character model is that of the Riddler, which will reportedly change throughout the game, much like how Batman changes to look more battle-worn as he fights his way through Arkham.

While there’s only three Arkham Knight screenshots, these mark the beginning of the end for the Batman Arkham franchise, and show the final and definitive version of some of Batman’s most iconic foes. Take a look at the screenshots below and begin to whet your appetite for Arkham Knight, the final title in the Batman Arkham franchise.
