It’s no secret in the gaming world that the Warner Bros Montreal developed Batman: Arkham Origins is by far the weakest entry in the critically and commercially acclaimed Batman Arkham series. We at Continue Play agree with this assessment, having scored Batman: Arkham Origins a low 4/10.
At least somebody disagrees with that assertion though, and that somebody is none other than Rocksteady Brand Marketing Producer Dax Ginn. In an interview with NowGamer, Ginn had the following to say about the prequel title:
“It was certainly pretty interesting, just to see what another team of creatives would do with Batman. I think they did a really solid job with Arkham Origins. I personally really, really enjoyed it – I think mostly because I’m really good at the combat, having played Arkham games for so long, I got a lot of joy out of it.”
Of course, anyone, particularly a brand marketing producer from Rocksteady, is going to say that and not crap all over the Warner Bros. in-sourced prequel title, but it’s telling that Ginn didn’t add a caveat of “for a game that was not developed by us.”
Personally, I would’ve enjoyed that, but at the very least, the interview offers some interesting insights into the development and production of Batman: Arkham Knight, none of which include our top 5 villains we’d like to see in the new Batman Arkham franchise title, or the host of new screenshots that Rocksteady just made available to the public.
