Rocksmith 2014 coming to current gen in November

Ubisoft has announced that Rocksmith 2014 will be coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on November 4th.

The new version of the teach-yourself-guitar game doesn’t appear to have too many changes from the last-gen versions of the game, which were available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Mac and PC; however, the new editions do boast 1080p visuals as well as support for Remote Play on PlayStation 4, meaning that PS4 players will be able to take music tracks away from the game in order to study them on their Vita.

The game itself will feature 50 tracks to get you started, including Aerosmith’s Walk This Way, Muse’s Knights of Cydonia and Queen’s We Are the Champions; however, more than 300 additional tracks are available to download which include Blink 182’s All the Small Things, Europe’s The Final Countdown and Kansas’ Carry On My Wayward Son.

The good news for all of you who bought the game on the previous generation is that you will be able to carry any tracks downloaded for the old version of the game over to the new version, as long as your new copy is in the same family (ie. Xbox 360 to Xbox One or PlayStation 3 to PlayStation 4).

Rocksmith 2014 will be available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in North America on November 4 and in Europe on November 7.
