Rise Kujikawa confirmed as playable character in Persona 4 Ultimax

Atlus’ mouthful of a fighting game, Persona 4 Arena: Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold (Persona 4 Arena Ultimax for short), will have Rise Kujikawa as a playable character, thanks to Eventhubs‘ translation of a Famitsu release.

She is traditionally a non-playable support character in Persona 4 and a navigator and commentator in Persona 4 Arena. Her inclusion to Persona 4 Arena Ultimax‘s roster is the first time Rise will be a playable character in the Persona series.

No further information has been released as to the nature of her playstyle, her moveset, her frame data, and her gimmicks. Additionally, there is no information as to whether she has a Shadow Mode, a new staple of Persona 4 Arena Ultimax.

Rise’s confirmation also brings up the question of whether Persona 3‘s Ken Amada will be playable. A potential leak on NeoGaf from Best Buy was the source.
