The developer and publisher of upcoming racing game Project CARS have both announced that the game’s release date has been moved back to March 20, 2024 in Europe and Australasia.
Slightly Mad Studios and Bandai Namco stated that “the move positions the title away from the competitive holiday scene dominated by household names” and also said that it will allow the development team more time to polish the upcoming title.
The Project CARS experience is said to be ground-breaking and that over 85,000 racing fans and real-life professional drivers have contributed to its creation. Their aim is to deliver an authentic, intense and yet beautiful technically-advanced racing game which will redefine the worldwide racing game scene.
It will feature one of the largest track roster ever seen in a racing game as well as world-class graphics, a dynamic weather and time of day system alongside a large collection of community-based features.
Project CARS is set to be released on PlayStation, Xbox One and PC. A number of impressive screenshots and trailers have already been released, showing the level of realism that’s being put into this upcoming game. However, how will it contend with other big-name titles, like Forza Horizon 2? We’ll have to wait and see until March next year to find out.
