Sega and Creative Assembly has announced an exclusive pre-order bonus for the upcoming Alien: Isolation, and it is one which fans of the franchise will go weak at the knees for.

Anyone who pre-orders the game will get a free upgrade to the Nostromo Edition by way of thanks. Free stuff is always good, but this time your free stuff is the “Crew Expendable” pack , where players get to play as one of three surviving crew members from the movie Alien, moments after Brett’s iconic death.

With this upgrade, players can explore the Nostromo as Ellen Ripley, Dallas or Parker, all the way from the habitation deck through to engineering, working together with Lambert and Ash to lure your enemy into the ship’s airlock.

Not only do you get to play as these characters, but this added content features the vocal talent of cast members from the 1979 movie: Sigourney Weaver, Tom Skerritt, Veronica Cartwright, Harry Dean Stanton, Yaphet Kotto and Ian Holm are all lending their voices once more to two DLC missions, replaying scenes from the movie.

In addition, anyone who pre-orders from GameStop will also receive the Last Survivor pack. This is an exclusive mission in which players they can help Ripley try to escape aboard the Narcissus: “On hearing the screams of Lambert and Parker, players must navigate their way back down through the Nostromo in order to activate the self-destruct sequence, before retracing their steps back to the Narcissus shuttle and their escape,” goes the press release.

“Working with the original cast has been an incredible experience,” said Alistair Hope, Creative Lead on Alien: Isolation. “It was important to us to have the key original cast members reprise their roles in order to perfectly capture the atmosphere of the movie. For some of the original cast, this is their first appearance in an Alien videogame. Seeing them reprise those roles after 35 years was an unforgettable experience.”

Alien: Isolation is set to be released on October 7, 2014, for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation4, and Windows PC. We previewed it back in March, and I had the unforgettable (and hilarious) experience of watching Dale scream out like a little girl and fall off his chair during his time with the demo.

Check out the preorder trailer below (thanks, IGN).
