More news for Animal Crossing fans - a new Animal Crossing game is expected to launch later this year on 3DS. But it isn’t what you might expect.
As well as the announcement of Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival for Wii U, Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer will be another spin-off title - this time focusing on interior and exterior home design. Unlike New Leaf, Happy Home Designer is all about creating the ideal homes for your cute little villagers.
As you progress throughout Happy Home Designer, you’ll be given various different jobs to design the citizens homes and to select items that appeal to their liking. With only the basic idea in mind, its up to you to figure out what items work, and the general ‘feng shui’ of the living conditions. So it’s Nintendo’s take on The Sims, basically.
Happy Home Designer is said to feature Amiibo Card functionality, which will allow special characters to appear within the game as well. Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer is expected to launch September 25th in North America, and October 2nd in Europe. In the meantime, be sure to check out this cute little gameplay trailer down below.
Jamie Goodin reviewed Animal Crossing: New Leaf last year, and awarded it a solid 9/10. “Whether you play for five minutes or five hours, Animal Crossing: New Leaf manages to be a rewarding experience,” Jami wrote in his New Leaf review. “Everything you do, and every discovery you make feels significant, and for that, New Leaf is an incredible gaming experience that ought not be missed by anyone willing to let themselves become immersed in it.”
