New Mortal Kombat X trailer shows off Kung Lao and Kitana

Warner Bros. Interactive has released a new gameplay trailer for Mortal Kombat X.

The video, which you can see below, shows off new gameplay featuring classic Kombatants Kung Lao and Kitana. It’s also rather gruesome, though that should come as no surprise to anyone familiar with the long-running series. Arms get sliced off by Kitana’s fans, Kung Lao’s razor-brimmed hat gets lodged in skulls, and brains fall out of heads. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.

Mortal Kombat X is currently due to arrive April 14th on PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. If you preorder, you’ll be given launch-day access to four-armed brute Goro - though we expect that the character will later be made available as paid-for DLC. No, we’re not happy about it either.
