Today at Sony’s 2015 E3 Press Conference, IO Interactive unveiled Hitman, the sixth addition to the beloved stealth franchise.
As the name implies, Hitman will focus on assassinating within open sandbox levels, encouraging players to provide new and interesting ways to takeout their designated targets. Much like the originals, Hitman will see players exploring ‘exotic locations’ from across the world, with areas such as Paris and Italy already confirmed for the game.
Hitman will come out as a digital first release, with new missions and locations said to be developed further down the track. Studio Head of IO Interactive Hannes Seifert confirmed through a press release that the developers will ‘listen closely’ to the players as they develop the new missions, confirming that ‘not a dollar more’ will be needed in order to access the full experience. In regards to Sony exclusives, PlayStation users will given access to the upcoming Beta - as well being provided six additional contracts exclusive to the PlayStation 4.
Hitman will launch December 8th 2015, with the supposed storyline concluding later in 2016. Hitman is expected to come out on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
