Rogue Factor’s adaption of Games Workshop’s tabletop game - Mordheim: City of the Damned - moves into phase 6 of early access, with a host of new content.
The main feature that’s been added is the improved strategy view, which offers a broad overview of the city as you fight. This was crafted using player feedback and will allow you to quickly access the city, browse between visible units on the map, rotate and zoom to fit your tactical needs. Three new maps have also been added - the Barracks and two procedurally generated maps in the 2nd district.
There are now consumables that can either be used to directly damage enemies or buff your own units - examples of which are the oil bomb (which causes area of effect damage) and the elven wine (which increases critical resistance by 30% for 2 turns).
Phase 6 will give us a brief glimpse at the new economy system in Mordheim. You’ll now be able to hire units for your warband and gather loot in your warband chest for later use in fights. As well as this, there have also been various graphical tweaks to improve the aesthetic of the game.
I’ve been a tabletop Mordheim player for years, so any new content to Rogue Factor’s adaption is great news for me. I’ll certainly be keeping a close eye on any new developments. Take a gander at the trailer for phase 6 below.
