Dragon Age: Inquisition may have been on sale for nearly 9 months, but Bioware isn’t finished yet.
Inquisition’s creative director, Mike Laidlaw, has confirmed over Twitter that more story content is on the way, saying “we’re not quite done”. But don’t expect a return to playing as Inquisition’s protagonist, the Hero of Ferelden: Laidlaw went on to elaborate that the character “would not be reappearing”, begging the question of just who players will take control of when the new content finally arrives:

The last bit of single-player content for Inquisition was the meaty Jaws of Hakkon DLC, which added a new zone and substantial amount of gameplay, with a new storyline running parallel to the events of the main campaign. Most other content updates have focused on Inquisition’s multiplayer mode, adding new maps and missions.
No date is given for when we can expect this new content, but with E3 just around the corner it’s possible we might discover more during EA’s conference at the event.
Jodie Rodgers is our resident Dragon Age fan, and she reviewed both Inquisition and its Jaws of Hakkon DLC for Continue Play. As well as awarding the main game an impressive 9/10 - it also scooped our Game of the Year award for last year - she was similarly impressed by the amount of effort that went into carving its expansion, awarding it 8/10.
“If you have no real intention of learning more about the Dragon Age universe, or want a completely new playing experience separate from the game you already own, spend your money somewhere else,” Jodie wrote in her Jaws of Hakkon review. “However, if you’re like me and thrive on learning more about this wonderful world that is on offer to us, enjoy the few hours more on offer to you here as you delve into the sights, sounds and stunning world of the Frostback Basin.”
